Attorney Jason Shyres has won many recent criminal case victories.  Below are a select few:

Criminal case conditional plea (client will have misdemeanor charge reduced to an infraction so long as she does community service and class).  Prostitution case.  Compton Superior Court.  People v. Name Undisclosed.  October 2010.

Criminal case dismissed.  Gang case.  Long Beach Superior Court.  People v. Name Undisclosed.  September 2010.

PENAL CODE 1118.1 MOTION GRANTED. Criminal case dismissal pursuant to Penal Code Section 1118.1.  Compton Superior Court.  Case dismissed in middle of criminal jury trial.  Gang case.  People v. Comeaux, June 2010.  This motion is rare and difficult to win.

NOT GUILTY in criminal domestic violence case.  Evidence presented at trial against client: 911 call with alleged victim crying and stating client choked her, recorded statement by client admitting to choke with remorse feelings, color photographs with bloody injuries to alleged victim, and victim took stand to testify against client. Compton Superior Court.  People v. _______ (name undisclosed) .  June 2010.

Third-time DUI criminal case (with probation violations) where client looking at multiple jail years.  Judge approved a sober living program.  No more jail.  Long Beach Superior Court.  People. v. Johnson, 2009 – 2010.

Mr. Shyres has also proudly assisted a number of his other clients find sober living programs, treatment facilities, anger management counseling, etc. to avoid jail and prison. In one recent case in particular (February 2010), one of  Mr. Shyres’ client is now over nine (9) months sober from alcohol and illegal drugs and avoided jail through a sober living program.  A Long Beach Judge commended the sobriety of this client and was pleased that the criminal justice system can help some people.
